"When I’m performing live and catch a glimpse of my uniquely colored Pig Hog cable, I’m reminded that I am getting the best possible sound transferred out to the audience, which makes for a more confident performance. My cable is what connects the sonics of my custom guitar to the outward speakers and with my experience so far, I know I can trust Pig Hog cables to accomplish this important task with no issues"
Katie Garibaldi is a San Francisco based singer/songwriter and guitar player who has recently released her new EP, Rooted Clarity. Branching away from her previous countrified album, Follow Your Heart, Katie returns to her folk‐driven roots with songs that focus on self‐discovery and faith. “These wonderfully crafted songs will make you catch your breath and trap your heart” (Raw Ramp Magazine). The five-song EP brings a mix of classical and country strings together to bring an effective and effortless sound that perfectly highlights Garibaldi’s trademark, soulful voice. The Daily Country says, “Garibaldi’s light as a feather vocals exude a strength that makes you want to believe in yourself and pursue your dreams and most importantly, gives you the courage, and clarity, to be yourself, trust yourself and allow yourself to fly.” The sweet soprano weaves between airy and operatic delving into the emotional depths of the stories behind these five brand new original songs, one of which, “I Am”, premiered on The Boot, the top source for the latest in country music. Elmore Magazine describes Katie’s sound as, “sweet, smooth music that is equal parts old‐school pop princess and folk songstress,” and says that her EP, Rooted Clarity, “focuses mainly on the Americana aspect with melody, choral instrumentals, and roots rhythms.”
2016 Hollywood Music In Media Awards, and the song's official music video, filmed in Nashville, TN and directed by Anna Haas, has recently caught a fire in the film industry gaining multiple nominations and winning awards. No Depression, accomplished journal of roots music, says, "Katie sings with vibrancy, hitting high notes even Joni Mitchell would appreciate. Her words, music and performance on 'Delightful' are just that – delightful. Backed by some purring violins and cello – with a straight ahead melodic drive Katie packs a wonderful folky extravagance. She almost makes folk music worth listening to again. Her voice soars at times and what is remarkable is that it doesn’t sound like showboating or diva-ship. This woman doesn’t have to prove a thing to anyone – she is a powerhouse driven by an intoxicating vocal tone. It reaches heights that are so easy on the ear that it’s a treat, a pleasure to listen to. The voice – free of bombastic notes – is just pure musicality.”
Listeners did not need to wait long for something new from Katie Garibaldi, as she released her brand new original Christmas song on November 25, 2016. The new single, “Tomorrow is Christmas Morning” a ballad about the traditional holiday-time melancholy blues of yearning to make it back home in time for Christmas, features a classical string section that has now become a staple in Garibaldi’s signature sound, and Christmas music production essentials such as sleigh bells and chimes. The single also serves as a preview for a full-length Christmas album, which the prolific songwriter hints will be in the works for a Fall 2017 release.
Katie Garibaldi has been named a Music Connection magazine Top 100 Live Unsigned Artist and is an active voting member of the Recording Academy. Awards include Songwriter of the Year from Songsalive!, Emerging Artist of the Year and Best Folk Song for "Stand In My Way" from the Indie Music Channel, and Artist of the Month by The Deli Magazine SF.
The Americana songstress' previous release, Follow Your Heart, recorded at Tiny Telephone Recording Studios in San Francisco and engineered by Ian Pellicci, is a country‐esque collection carrying her powerful message of the importance of having the conviction to follow one’s heart. The record includes performances by notable musicians, including the Magik*Magik Orchestra (Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers, John Vanderslice, Glen Hansard), and Philip Brezina (The Brothers Comatose) on fiddle.
This determined and enthusiastic singer/songwriter/guitarist is an avid national touring performer who has acquired a devoted fan base, due in large part to her engaging live shows, and personal connection to her listeners through her music. Guitar Player magazine calls Garibaldi “a gifted songwriter with a gorgeous voice” and Music Connection magazine says, “Garibaldi is blessed with a sweet and pure soprano, and we hear a sincerity in this artist that is real.” The songwriter has a characteristic musical style wherein her country‐tinged folk‐rock gives her a distinct and soulful sound—ethereal Americana with sparkling memorable melodies. With a combination of 10 albums and EPs released, an endorsement with Breedlove Stringed Instruments, who worked with her to build a custom Master Class guitar, as well as sponsorships with Fishman, G7th Capos, Reunion Blues, and Pig Hog Cables, Katie Garibaldi has proven to be an artist with staying power.
