"Pig Hog Cables are the most durable and roadworthy cables I have ever used, from the DIY venues to the big theaters these cables are built to last and deliver amazing clarity without fail."
Michael Chavez plays Guitar and Sings for the bands Ripped to Shreds, Doomsday, Condition Critical and Hemotoxin. Starting as a teenager in the East Bay Area Metal scene he has built a reputation amongst his peers starting with his high school band Aeon of Death. Soon after that he formed Hemotoxin and later recruited his long-time musical partner Brandon Wilcox on drums, who is still with the band currently. During high school Michael studied Jazz guitar and wrote the first Hemotoxin releases. After some years of pursuing music on a DIY level with Hemotoxin, Michael was approached by the Bay Area Gore metal band Cartilage and would fill in on guitar and backing vocal duties from early 2016 - late 2017. During the global pandemic in 2020 Michael would use this time to take on new projects and travel to New Jersey to try out and eventually join underground thrashers Condition Critical. One year after in 2021 Michael was contacted by Ripped to Shreds frontman Andrew Lee to fill in for a few shows with the band, this led to Lee offering a full-time band member role to Michael and has since been considered an official member of Ripped to Shreds. Within the Ripped to Shreds camp bassist Ryan Calaveras also plays guitar for Oakland, CA Crossover Thrash/Hardcore band Doomsday, Michael was asked to join as their third guitar player in April 2022. Michael has spent the better part of a decade screaming and riffing on stages all over the U.S.A. with no signs of slowing down any time soon, and if you have a good eye you might be able to see him in the Metallica 'Halo on Fire' music video! Catch him live with one of his bands in a town near you!
