Rick was born and raised in Berkeley, CA. He joined Exodus in 1983 as the lead guitarist on multiple albums including Bonded By Blood, Pleasures Of The Flesh, Fabulous Disaster, Impact Is Imminent, Force Of Habit, and Another Lesson In Violence.

The night of March 8, 1989 is one that went down in history. EXODUS destroyed the stage at The Astoria in London and this recording remained locked away in the vaults until May 31st 2024, 35 years later, this rager of a show was finally unleashed to the world —  ‘British Disaster’ The Battle of '89 — Live At The Astoria | released by Nuclear Blast Records. 

Rick joined DieHumane in 2023 on lead guitar. DieHumane was founded in Galveston, Texas at the end of 2020 by Joshua Vargas and Greg Hilligiest as a way to deal with the loss and isolation of that year. Combining elements of doom metal, jazz, industrial, blues, and prog, DieHumane is heavily rooted in mood and atmosphere. They released ‘THE GROTESQUE’ record that same year. Source | Bandcamp
