Rikk Manning is a Bassist, National Touring and Recording Artist, Instructor and Clinician.

Originally from just south of Dayton, Ohio Rikk is a rock solid, high energy bassist demonstrating blistering technical skill, solid groove and a few unique tricks up his sleeve. He has displayed a wide range of ability working in genres from progressive rock/jazz fusion performing with the Michael Harris Tranz-Fusion to hard funk as a writing and performing member of Funtime Freddy. Rikk worked exclusively with the Kelly Richey Band recording/touring the USA and Canada.

He now writes and performs with West Michigan based R&B, Soul, Pop & Rock group Code West based on the coast of West Michigan, USA and continues to make guest appearances on various projects.

Rikk is actively working on solo releases focused on healing with the awesome power of sound. The idea to create Meditation & Journey tracks started to form after Rikk attended a drum making workshop facilitated by StrongHeart DrumMedicine. Building on many years of study in music theory and audio production, he had a concrete foundation in understanding modes/frequencies and the knowledge of which produced what emotional reaction. When diving deep into his own spiritual journey he intuitively found correlation between ancient principles and the musical modes. Studies further into the body centers uncovered the same correlation. Learning to “birth” a drum provided a catalyst for Rikk to rediscover his relationship with music. With the new frame drum in hand, he produced his first meditation track “Muladhara” for personal use to clear up emotional blockers. Witnessing the effect of this sound on his own life, the decision was made to share it with the world. He invites everyone on his journey as it unfolds, making more drums and more music.
