Born in 2015 in Southern California, Ryder B’s musical journey began remarkably early. At just two years old, he surprised his parents by drumming out The Stooges’ “No Fun” on his highchair. They put a drum kit in his bedroom, and within weeks he was playing recognizable versions of songs by some of his favorite artists.

Shortly after his third birthday, Ryder became the youngest student ever accepted into Guitar Center’s lessons program, which typically started at age six. His obsession with rock ’n’ roll was already firmly established — by three, his personal Spotify playlist contained more than 1,200 songs.

At six years old, Ryder picked up the guitar. Before he even knew how to play a chord, he stunned his family by tuning the instrument by ear. Guitar quickly became much more than a second instrument. Ryder taught himself to play, developing his own raw, aggressive style influenced by artists including The Stooges, The White Stripes, Misfits, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and My Chemical Romance.

Before long, Ryder had moved from behind the drum kit to the front of the stage, playing guitar, singing and writing his own songs.

The Sunset Strip became a second home. Ryder first performed at the legendary Rainbow Bar and Grill at age seven, and by the time he was 10, he had already performed at the Whisky a Go Go eight times - playing guitar, singing and commanding stages that helped create many of the rock ’n’ roll heroes who inspired him.

His performances have since reached millions of people around the world. Ryder’s music content has generated more than 100 million views, with videos recognized and shared by artists including Slash and Jack White.

Ryder has also appeared on national television, including The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In July 2026, he performed on The Tonight Show as part of Phoebe Bridgers’ band.

In 2026, Ryder also starred alongside Marilyn Manson in a music video, adding another surreal milestone to a résumé that was already difficult to imagine for a 10-year-old musician.

Ryder released his debut album, Don’t Call Me Cute, in November 2025. Written around the guitar-driven rock ’n’ roll, punk and garage music he loves, the album features Ryder as a songwriter, guitarist, vocalist and drummer and is available directly at ryderbmusic.com.

Now 10, Ryder B is a guitarist, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has built an international audience while remaining fiercely devoted to the music and instruments that started it all.
