The Boxmasters

“The surf green cables really fit the Sixties style of The Boxmasters. And we’ve never had a cable fail during a show which is the most important thing to me.” - Billy Bob Thornton
“We’ve used Pig Hog cables for our last 3 tours and they’ve always worked great. And when I needed cables for my own personal use, I didn’t hesitate to just buy Pig Hog again. I know that they are great and work for me.” - J.D. Andrew
"Ever since I received my first set of Pig Hog Cables, I was blown away. They look cool and are so easy to use - no tangles! They're a favorite of The Boxmasters and on my many solo projects. People always ask, "Where'd you get those cool cables?" I say, "Pig Hog!" - Teddy 'Zig Zag' Andreadis
2017 & 2018 have been as busy as always for the Boxmasters. After completing the eagerly awaited “Speck” with legendary producer/engineer Geoff Emerick, The Boxmasters realized that the promotional campaign would not be ready for such a special offering. So they decided that a new album just for the tour would be a great way to show fans some of the newest songs that they have been working on.
Before being called “In Stereo!!!”, The Boxmasters had been calling the album “Tea Surfing Too” because it was conceived as a follow-up to the fun early to mid sixties-influenced “Tea Surfing.” “In Stereo!!!” starts with some of the same sounds, but veers to the later 60’s with some more psychedelic influences. The Byrds, Beach Boys & early Beatles influences are all there still, but add in a bit of Traffic, 10 Years after and later Beatles that make up the sounds of “In Stereo!!!”
“The Sixties were such an explosive and groundbreaking time for the creation of music, and you can almost never go through all of the different styles that were created in that era. But you sure can grab little bits of it from different places and make it your own. I believe that is what we do as The Boxmasters and why we can keep making such different albums.” Says co-founder J.D. Andrew. The always prolific Bud, J.D. & Teddy have also been working on finishing another long awaited project titled “And Then We Drove” as well as contributing music to an upcoming independent feature film titled “Spare Room.”
The Boxmaster’s 2018 “In Stereo!!! Tour” kicks off July 6th in Yountville, CA at the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center and runs through the U.S. in July and August. After the West Coast, The Boxmasters make their way through Texas and then to the Northeast, where the band has rarely played before. Familiar venues such as Knucklehead’s in Kansas City, Boondocks in Springfield, Illinois, and Ram’s Head on Stage in Annapolis, Maryland are joined by new stops in Maine, Oklahoma and California.
